Preparing Professional Pre-Service Teacher Through A Micro Teaching Program
Wednesday, April 20th 2022, Three English Education Study Program students joined Micro Teaching program in Micro Teaching Laboratory, Faculty of Teacher Training Education (FKIP) in KM 5, Palembang. The three students are Bunga Aprilia, Fathia Khairunnisa, and Tri Puja Lestari. They were appointed to participate as the representative of English Education Study Program. Fathia, Khairunnisa, Tri Puja Lestari, and Bunga Aprilia taught eight students of SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang consecutively after the students of Bahasa Indonesia Education Study Program doing the Micro Teaching.
All students had 15 minutes to do Micro Teaching with different materials. So, they were instructed to do teaching and learning activities within 15 minutes and all the activities will be recorded. The atmosphere when shooting the video went very well. All students of English Education Study Program were able to interact with the students quite well. The students used PowerPoint as learning media to deliver the teaching materials and one of them also used a video to discussed the materials. This Micro Teaching program was joined by some study programs of FKIP and used for Faculty Accreditation. At the end of the activities, there was a photo session among the students and some supervisors involved in Micro Teaching video shooting.
