Speaking for Academic Purposes is a compulsory subject for the fifth semester students of the English Education Study Program. It is designed to develop students’ ability at an advanced level, specifically understanding vocabularies, sentence structure, and educational academic texts. In addition, this course offers the participant various types of communication settings to practice, such as speech, academic presentation (seminar/conference speaker or moderator), debate, and podcast.

Understanding how to perform as a presenter or moderator in a highly formal conference or seminar will undoubtedly benefit students in their future professional careers, not only as educators but also entrepreneurs.
