On Saturday, October 28, 2024, the Biology Education Student Association of FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya successfully conducted an educational visit to TPA 2 Karya Jaya, a community learning space known as Sriwijaya’s Marginal School. The activity took place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and was part of the student organization’s commitment to social outreach and educational empowerment.
During the visit, the students engaged in teaching and interactive play activities with the children at the school. The program aimed to provide a joyful and meaningful learning experience, combining educational content with games to stimulate curiosity and motivation among the young learners. It also served as a valuable platform for students to apply their pedagogical skills in an informal, real-world setting.
This activity reflects the spirit of community involvement and the values of humanity, care, and education upheld by the Biology Education Program of FKIP Unsri. Through this initiative, students not only contributed to the development of marginalized communities but also enriched their own learning experiences as future educators.
The Department of Biology Education extends appreciation to all parties who supported the event. The success of this program underscores the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions and the surrounding community in advancing equitable education for all.
