Reaching 21st Century Education, General Lecture: Technology in EFL was held successfully
On Thursday, 28th April 2022, English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) University of Sriwijaya (Unsri), held a General Lecture with the theme “Technology in EFL” virtually through Zoom Meeting. This event was attended by The Coordinator of English Education Study Program, Hariswan Putera Jaya, S.Pd., M.Pd; The Secretary of Language and Art Education Department, Erlina, S.Pd. M. Pd., M. Ed.; Dr. Hj. Noor Eka Chandra, M.Pd. as the speaker; Novalingga Pitaloka, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the Master of Ceremony; Dr. Rita Inderawati. M.Pd. as the moderator; and more than 150 participants including lecturers, students, and public.
“Technology is very needed now, especially when we have pandemic and most of us are having learning from home or teaching from home. And I believe that technology plays a big part when we use it,” explained Dr. Hj. Noor Eka Chandra, M.Pd. at the beginning of her presentation.
The general lecture went well with clear explanations supported by examples of how to use several technologies that can be used for teachers and students. After explaining the presentation, the general lecture continued with some critical questions from the participants which were discussed very interestingly
At the end of the lecture, there was an award given to Dr. Hj. Noor Eka Chandra, M.Pd. as the speaker by The Secretary of Language and Art Education Department, Erlina, S.Pd. M. Pd., M. Ed. The event was held successfully and streamed on YouTube channel.
