Palembang, October 12, 2024. Following a successful three-day event, the Mathematics Education Fair (MEF) 2024 officially concluded today at the Auditorium of FKIP Unsri KM 5. The event, held from October 10 to 12, 2024, attracted participants from various educational levels, including students and faculty, as well as other stakeholders who supported the event.
The Mathematics Education Fair (MEF) 2024 has been successfully held. Many memories were created during this event. The enthusiastic spirit of the participants at the start of the competitions and the busy efforts of the committee to ensure the smooth running of the event were key to the success of MEF 2024. Thanks also to the sponsors of the Mathematics Education Fair (MEF) 2024 for their significant support in making this event happen. The Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of FKIP Unsri, Dra. Nyimas Aisyah, M.Pd., Ph.D. expressed her appreciation to all parties involved, particularly the students and faculty of the Mathematics Education Program, for their hard work and dedication during the fair.
“The Mathematics Education Fair 2024 is not just a competition but also a platform to enhance the love for mathematics among the younger generation. We hope that activities like this can continue in the future,” she stated.
The closing event was enlivened by a talent show organized by the Mathematics Student Association (HIMMA), along with the announcement of the winners and the awarding of prizes to participants who took part in the competition. In the competitions for the Olympics (elementary, middle, and high school), Rubik’s Cube, posters, and scientific papers, three winners were selected for each category. For the chess competition, ten winners were chosen.
