The Mathematics Education Study Program of Sriwijaya University will proudly hold The 3rd NaCoME (National Conference on Mathematics Education) and Workshop on Mathematical Proving directly at the Graduate Hall of Sriwijaya University, Palembang, on October 25, 2025. With the theme “Innovations In Mathematics Education,” this prestigious conference is an inspirational forum for academics, lecturers, researchers, and students from various universities at home and abroad to share the latest ideas, research, and innovations in the field of mathematics education.
The event featured keynote presenters from three leading experts in mathematics education. Dr. Rogier Bos, assistant professor at the Freudenthal Institute, Utrecht University, the Netherlands, is known for his contributions to dynamic visualization, as well as the development of digital tools for mathematics education, which have had a significant impact on education not only in the Netherlands but also internationally. Dr. rer. nat. Adi Nur Cahyono, M.Pd., Associate Professor at Universitas Negeri Semarang, is the founder of Math Trails Lab and an active researcher in the use of digital technologies such as mobile-based math trails and mathematical modeling, and has been a visiting professor in Austria, Malaysia, and the UK. Meanwhile, Dr. Hapizah, M.T., a lecturer at Sriwijaya University, focuses his research on computational thinking and ICT integration in mathematics learning, and is active in developing educational innovations and teacher professionalism programs in his field.
The conference will be officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Dr. Hartono, M.A., who in his speech emphasized the importance of collaboration between institutions and continuous innovation in mathematics teaching.
Through the organization of The 3rd NaCoME, the Mathematics Education Study Program of Sriwijaya University affirms its commitment to continue to encourage the exchange of ideas, the delivery of research results, and the development of innovations in the field of mathematics education.
