Palembang — The Master Program in Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sriwijaya, held the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) for the Class of 2025 on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the FKIP Unsri Postgraduate Building in Palembang. The PKKMB was conducted in three stages, such as at the university level on August 13, at the faculty level on August 14, and at the study program level on August 15.
The event was attended by Dr. Hartono, M.A. (Dean of FKIP Unsri), Dr. Rita Inderawati, M.Pd. (Vice Dean I), Prof. Dra. Nyimas Aisyah, M.Pd., Ph.D. (Vice Dean II), Dr. Hapizah, S.Pd., M.T. (Program Coordinator), and lecturers of the Master Program in Mathematics Education.
The event opened with remarks from the Dean and the Program Coordinator, followed by a joint introduction session with the Doctoral Program in Mathematics Education, where lecturers presented their fields of expertise and new students introduced themselves to foster early academic interaction. The agenda continued with an overview of the program’s vision, mission, curriculum, and graduate profile, delivered by Dr. Hapizah, S,Pd., M.T. Then the event continued with motivational sessions by Dr. Ely Susanti, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Dr. Budi Mulyono, S.Pd., M.Sc. encouraged students to approach their studies with enthusiasm and dedication.
In the final session, representatives from the Class of 2024 shared information on academic systems, including e-Learning, SIMAK, USEPT, Master’s Thesis Research (PTM), and student character development. The PKKMB aimed to help the new students gain a comprehensive understanding of the academic environment, learning systems, and scholarly culture at FKIP Unsri, preparing them to begin their studies with commitment and integrity.
