History
The Master’s Program in Mathematics Education (MPME) is the first postgraduate program in mathematics education established in South Sumatra. It was officially founded on April 12, 2006, by Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 1184/D/T/2006. MPME is administered under the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sriwijaya.
In 2011–2015, MPME successfully carried out international collaboration with Utrecht University (UU) and Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) through the International Master Program on Mathematics Education (IMPoME). This sandwich program was attended by outstanding students from various provinces in Indonesia, supported by scholarships from DIKTI and Stuned/Neso.
Currently, MPME is accredited with the status of "Very Good" by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) under certificate number 1591/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/III/2021, valid from March 23, 2021, to March 23, 2026.
MPME is located at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Srijaya Negara Street, Bukit Besar, 30128, Palembang, Indonesia. Location
