The Master’s Program in Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sriwijaya, once again held an academic event in the form of a Research Result Seminar, following a previous round of international seminars conducted online. However, as the online seminar format was considered to provide limited feedback for the advancement of students’ research, the Coordinator of the Mathematics Education Program at FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya took the initiative to organize the research result seminar offline on campus.
The seminar was held on Monday, May 19, 2025, in Room 1.2, Graduate Building, FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya.
Two students, Aldi Putra Wijaya and Amanah Maulida, presented the results of their thesis research before their academic supervisors and examiners. The seminar was also attended by Dr. Hapizah, S.Pd., M.T., as the Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Mathematics Education, as well as examiners and supervisors including Dr. Darmawijoyo, M.Si., Dr. Somakim, M.Pd., Dr. Budi Mulyono, M.Sc., Dra. Cecil Hiltrimartin, M.Pd., Ph.D., Dr. Meryansumayeka, M.Sc., and Dr. Dian Cahayawati Sukanda, S.Si., M.Si.
This event serves as a significant step in the academic journey of the students in the Mathematics Education Master’s Program at FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya, allowing them to receive constructive feedback on their research outcomes and fulfill the requirement prior to the thesis examination.
Both Aldi and Amanah presented their respective research topics using PowerPoint slides in a detailed and systematic manner. The seminar ran smoothly and interactively, with the examiners offering valuable feedback and critical questions to further enhance the quality of the students’ research. The successful implementation of this seminar brings Aldi and Amanah one step closer to completing their graduate studies.
This activity reflects the strong commitment of the Mathematics Education Master’s Program at FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya, under the coordination of Dr. Hapizah, M.T., to maintain academic excellence and encourage students to produce high-quality and impactful scholarly work, contributing to the advancement of mathematics education in Indonesia.
