The Master Program in Mathematics Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sriwijaya, once again held its regular academic event, FBF (From By For) Student, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance at the FKIP Postgraduate Campus in Palembang with participation via Zoom Meeting. FBF serves as a scientific forum that provides a platform for students to share knowledge, experiences, and innovations relevant to the field of mathematics education.

In this session, the theme presented was "Canva Free: Secrets to Creating a Marketable E-Book", delivered by Sintia Andita, S.Pd., a student from the 2024 cohort of the Master’s Program in Mathematics Education. In her presentation, the speaker systematically explained how to utilize the free version of Canva to create digital e-books that are not only visually appealing but also have strong commercial value.

The material covered practical steps such as defining the purpose and target audience, preparing a content outline, setting up a Canva account, selecting templates and design elements, and determining effective promotional strategies. Participants were also introduced to a list of useful free Canva keywords to enhance visual appeal, including elements such as “organic shape,” “watercolour,” “blob,” and a variety of elegant and unique fonts.

Beyond design aspects, the speaker also shared her personal experience in selling digital products, including a Ramadhan planner e-book successfully marketed through platforms such as Shopee, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Lynk ID. Within less than two weeks, she managed to generate hundreds of thousands of rupiah in revenue. Her marketing strategies included soft selling techniques and maintaining consistency in publishing engaging and solution-oriented content for potential consumers.

The FBF Student 2025 session ran smoothly and received a positive response from participants, including both students and the general public. The enthusiasm shown reflected the forum’s significant role in promoting essential 21st-century skills, particularly in digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven creativity. It is hoped that this initiative will continue to inspire and empower students to innovate, create, and contribute to the advancement of mathematics education in Indonesia.
